MN Snow Sculture Championship

We ventured out the State Fair grounds to check out the State Snow Sculture Championships today. It turns out we were too early - the potential champions were still working on their creations. Nevertheless, we hung out and watched for awhile took some photos for you. It was interesting to see that most of the contestants had small clay scultures that were mock ups of the large scale piece that they were trying to create.
Popular tools for making big snow sculptures include:
- Curry combs
- Pruning saws
- Ice scrapers
- Hand trowels
- Cement floats
- Anything else they have in the truck bed
